A Mixed Arrangement
Relief Print, 11 x 8.5 inches,
Art 271 Printmaking, Fall 2024

This linocut relief print is a design of flowers, dots, and stars floating aimlessly. I drew the first thing that came to mind, which reflects my personality.
The Table
Intaglio Print, 11 x 8.5 inches,
Art 271 Printmaking, Fall 2024

This artwork is an intaglio print derived from a still-life drawing. It was created using the drypoint technique, in which a sharp needle is used to incise fine lines into a plate. Once the composition is complete, ink is applied across the surface, filling the incised lines before the plate is wiped clean. Damp paper is then placed over the inked plate and run through a high-pressure press, transferring the ink and producing a reversed image of the original design.
The Dying Flower
Relief Print, 11 x 8.5 inches,
Art 271 Printmaking, Fall 2024

The Dying Flower is a relief print where I glued together a variety of different textured items and layered ink on top of it. To achieve this type of print, you have to do a lot of rubbing to spread the ink across the whole design. Once it is inked, it gets run through a press to reveal a mirrored image.
